Redi Ant knows that an emergency can happen anytime,
even in the middle of the night, while everyone is asleep.
Redi Ant plans ahead and has an evacuation plan for different
types of emergencies such as: fire, hurricanes, floods, and
tornadoes. Redi Ant knows that getting out of his house during
an emergency is like going through a maze and a family that
practices their emergency evacuation plan is a Redi Ant Family.
Redi Ant knows that for a fire, you evacuate to an outside
meeting point, and don't go back into the house until a fireman
says it's okay. For a tornado, you seek shelter in an interior
hallway, or get into an empty bathtub with a battery-operated
radio. Then follow the instructions from the proper authorities
for
further safety precautions. During hurricanes and flooding, listen
to the proper authorities for official instructions. If
recommended to
evacuate, take your family and emergency supply kit to a Red Cross
shelter, or to a family member's or friend's home in a safe area.
Do not return until it is safe to do so.
